Sage Summit 2017: AI and Tech Take Centre Stage

We were delighted to attend, exhibit and present at the Sage Summit 2017, held at London’s ExCel Exhibition Centre. AI and the development and integration of technology were big talking points throughout the 2-day event. With a predicted 85% of all client interactions becoming AI-powered by 2020, it is clear to see why. It was great to see so many people, from entrepreneurs to those working for large firms, approach the stand having heard great things and wanting to find out more about how to keep up with the rapid changes in the industry.

What's next...

The sessions were packed with curious attendees looking for information on what’s next for the industry straight from the experts. Sam Horner, our Key Account manager, was one such expert and joined an impressive panel of speakers to provide insight into ‘Technology for Business… What’s Next?’.

Sam explained how Receipt Bank helps accountants to evolve their practices into the new tech-driven era. Creating paper-free, tech-powered processes with Receipt Bank is a very real goal for any industry professional, from global firms to one-person companies.By leveraging software like Receipt Bank, the processing of accounts payables can be done quicker than ever and provides the opportunity for individuals to work remotely. Pegging your hopes on bots

Sage’s commitment to a tech-driven future was clear, with the centre-stage exhibition of their chatbot, Pegg. Alan Laing, Director of Sage UK and Ireland, explained ‘we believe AI can be a powerful source for good, if we ensure it’s ethical and given a clear purpose.'

With events like Sage Summit and a host of productivity-boosting add-ons, like Receipt Bank, to help accountants thrive, there is no excuse to ignore the tech revolution. Thank you Sage, and thank you all of the wonderful accountants and bookkeepers we met! See you next year.
