Receipt Bank, the award-winning bookkeeping automation platform, has appointed Vicky Skipp as VP of Sales for Asia Pacific. Bringing over 20 years’ experience in the technology industry to the role, Skipp will be responsible for continuing to accelerate the company’s growth and expansion

Tenfold growth

Receipt Bank’s operations in Australia have grown tenfold in the past five years, counting national firms such as BDO and the First Class Accounts franchise as customers. Skipp’s leadership experience in APAC will be crucial to building on this momentum and realising the benefits of real-time accounting for even more accountants and small businesses across the region.

“Throughout my career I have played an important role in building and growing regional operations for international organisations - Receipt Bank is a fantastic opportunity in this field,” comments Skipp. “The size of the company’s recent Series B funding round shows the huge potential for further growth, and I am looking forward to revolutionising bookkeeping for more accounting and bookkeeping firms and small businesses across APAC.”

Growth and new markets

Skipp joins Receipt Bank shortly after the company raised US$50million from a Series B funding round led by Insight Venture Partners.

“We have seen rapid growth in Australia and New Zealand since the opening of our Sydney office in 2013 and we want to continue building on this success,” states Alexis Prenn, CEO, Receipt Bank. “Vicky’s experience of leading global technology companies in the region makes her the ideal person to accelerate this growth and lead us into new markets. We are driving change in the accounting and bookkeeping industry and Vicky’s attitude and track record match that approach perfectly.”

Before taking on her role at Receipt Bank, Skipp held various leadership roles across Asia Pacific. Most recently she founded and led Linkedin’s Sales Solutions business in the region, playing a pivotal role in building a team to drive the adoption of social selling.

Her experience also comprises the role of regional director, Southeast Asia, at Adobe, where she helped the company expand into emerging markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as undertaking similar roles for Netsuite and McAfee.
