Petrol and lunch from BP? Receipt Bank can now split receipts!

Often a single receipt will contain several purchases, sometimes these purchases are spread across more than one nominal code. In Receipt Bank you can now ‘split’ a receipt into more than one transaction so each transaction can be correctly allocated!

What does this mean?

In Receipt Bank you can now use a receipt as supporting evidence for more than one transaction. The receipt is copied so each transaction is linked to the original receipt. You can then amend the data on each transaction as you wish.

For example, if you filled up with petrol on your way to a meeting with a client and bought lunch at the same time - you can now separate the purchases into different categories.

The total amount spent on petrol can be noted separately and assigned to the 'Travel' category. The cost of lunch can also be noted and assigned to the appropriate category.

The two purchases will then be visible as separate receipts in your Receipt Bank account - making it easier for you, your bookkeeper and your accountant!
