1. Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!

With so much content it's really important to know what sessions you really want to go to and why.

With so many amazing vendors it's also important to schedule the time to get to see everyone, know who you really want to catch up with, what questions you want to ask etc.

And with so many great people attending make sure you reach out beforehand to those you want to connect with. Social Media is a great tool for this as it's easy to connect.

2. Be Yourself

When meeting new people and establishing relationships, be #genuine #human and allow your own personality to shine through! Now that doesn't mean that you should go ahead pick your nose (save that for home) but just be yourself with your best manners!

Always remember it's never about you but always about the person you are speaking with, be an active listener.

3. Don't Forget To Follow up!

Making a good first impression is really important & that continues after the event too. If you meet someone & you’re keen to keep in contact send them a follow-up note (email, tweet, text, LinkedIn, call - there are so many options!)

You never know where these connections might lead or where your paths might cross in the future. So make sure you make the most of the great impression you made on the day!
