Yesterday saw Receipt Bank host the latest instalment of our Practice Exchange lunches, and it proved to be a great success with contacts made, information shared and insight gained! Held at Kettners in Soho, a stunning 1930s style brasserie, everyone was treated to champagne, wine and a fantastic three course meal in the company of fellow cloud accounting professionals.
Hosted by Receipt Bank’s very own Steve and Tosca, the day kicked of with a great debate around what it takes to run a successful business in the cloud. With discussion led by Steve, the group was able to cover a number of pressing topics, focusing primarily on the challenges of moving into the cloud, pricing and strategies to increase the value and level of services offered to clients. Special mention must go to Will Farnell of Farnell Clarke who travelled over from Norwich to provide everyone with some pearls of cloud accounting wisdom. Also in attendance was Louise Bowman of FreeAgent and Ben Smith of Accounting Web, both of whom provided great value to those around them with their wealth of industry experience and technical knowledge.
Making it’s debut over a year ago now, Receipt Bank’s Practice Exchange lunches aim to give ambitious Accountants and Bookkeepers the chance to interact, exchange ideas and build connections with both experienced and up-and-coming industry professionals. The lunches continue to provide everyone with a fantastic forum for discussion and have undoubtedly led to the formation of lasting connections that will help guests to further the success of their businesses.
Next on the Practice Exchange menu is Manchester as Receipt Bank travel up to the Grade II listed Abode for another day of delicious cuisine, discussion and even more dessert!
