As a freelance consultant, I’ve always had a limited company for contracting business. I would just do my own expenses, things such as accommodation, meals & travel – I’d keep putting it off, it’s such a pain to do!
I already use FreeAgent for my accounting and came across Receipt Bank from their site - it seemed like the ideal solution.
It has saved me so much time! I just pop all my receipts into a big envelope and the vast majority of the work gets done for me. I then check a few things in Receipt Bank and away it goes into FreeAgent – matched to the right category in my chart of accounts!
I recently sent away nine months worth of receipts - saving myself 4-5 hours work, if not more! I’m notoriously bad at keeping up with this so, the time and effort saved is invaluable.
