Accountex 2017 was buzzing with talk of Making Tax Digital and how to get your systems ready for the change. Luckily, Receipt Bank was on hand, and on stand, to help make bookkeeping effortless.
Looking to the future
Accountex brings together accountants and bookkeepers from all over the country to learn, network and share ideas. This year was all about Making Tax Digital. Professionals were all looking for tips and technology to ease their clients' transition to a digital tax system.
On Receipt Bank's giant orange stand, we had a packed two days explaining how to make digital bookkeeping effortless. No Receipt Bank event is complete without our now famous mega-app – a giant phone to demonstrate just how easy our award-winning app is to use.
Apps for success
Not only did we have the pleasure of speaking as one of 5 must-have cloud tools that will make you more successful on both days but Receipt Bank Co-Founder Michael Wood took to the stage to discuss the future of digital tax.
HMRC aren't making tax digital - They're recognising that tax is now digital offered valuable insight into the likely development of tax legislation in the UK. Based on his conversations with tax authorities worldwide, Making Tax Digital was put in crucial context, offering insights for accountants and bookkeepers looking to adapt their businesses.
We'll be sharing the video of that talk soon, but in the meantime make sure to check out his fascinating chat with AccountingWeb on the future of artificial intelligence in accounting.
Moving forward in partnership
Accountex brings together accountants and bookkeepers from all over the country, including many of Receipt Bank's top partners. Always keen to highlight their achievements, we brought along a camera crew to capture some of their experiences, insight and advice.
