Here at Receipt Bank, we are always on the lookout for ways to improve the service we offer. Our aim is to collect your receipts and invoices (wherever they may be), process them, and then deliver the data to you to use as you see fit.
However, extracting the data from all the different documents sent in - in various currencies, formats, languages, etc. - takes time.
When we began it used to take us up to a week to extract the data, then we improved our processes and reduced it to five days, and now we are pleased to announce that your receipts and invoices will be processed within three days.
We aren’t the types to rest on our laurels though – soon we expect to be extracting the data from your receipts and invoices on the same day!
Receipts and invoices are submitted to Receipt Bank by a variety of different methods: our smartphone applications mean you can deal with receipts whilst on the move; our Freepost envelopes (aka Receipt Bags) help you deal with the receipts stuffed in your wallet / purse; our email-in features means you never need to print out an invoice again, just send it through to Receipt Bank!
Once the item is submitted, the processing begins. We capture the date, amount (and VAT/GST amount where applicable) as then categorise it according to your categories or chart of accounts. Every receipt / invoice is then reviewed in accordance with our quality assurance standards before being returned to you. If you have an accountant or bookkeeper, they will also have access to your data!
