Before using Receipt Bank, our clients were handling much of their data entry and bookkeeping themselves. There was a huge amount of copying up being done, and we were really restricted in terms of being able to lend a helping hand. The only solution then was for us to take the time to physically visit these clients, which was incredibly expensive and time-consuming. As a result, we simply weren't offering much in the way of bookkeeping.
I initially dropped one of the co-founders a line, and we went from there. It's really important for us to understand a company's aims and objectives before we go ahead. Our aim was really to find something technology focused, and we really loved where the company was headed. I was seriously impressed.
