From April to early May the Receipt Bank team and their trademark orange T-shirts toured the UK with the 2015 Xero Roadshows. Kicking-off in Manchester and ending in London, this series of nine events gave everyone the perfect opportunity to network and share ideas with the accounting and bookkeeping community. With more attendees than ever before and a focus on taking the next step in accounting technology, it was exciting to see so much enthusiasm for cloud accounting and the services that Receipt Bank provides!

Held at a variety of venues from science museums to breweries, a real sense of community was formed with other add-ons like Spotlight, Chaser and Practice Ignition who also travelled the UK to support Xero’s Roadshows. As always it was fantastic to finally meet so many of our partners face-to-face, giving us a great opportunity to connect with them on how cloud accounting can further improve their productivity and growth.

A number of central themes appeared throughout the roadshows, with the value that automation can bring to accounting and bookkeeping firms often taking centre stage. Many of the attendees that we spoke to were excited to hear more about the ways in which Receipt Bank could really streamline processes and free up their time to expand into higher valued advisory services. There were of course a number of new releases during the roadshows, of particular note was Xero’s new ‘Find and Recode’ function. Used to amend transactions that have already been reconciled, this new function allows the user to find and select bulk transactions and change certain things about them all at once. Here at Receipt Bank we are all about productivity so this new feature was right up our street! Significant mention must also be given to Karen Reyburn of The Profitable Firm who presented at every roadshow and never failed to offer fantastic marketing insight to her audience.

Whilst the more serious matters of productivity and progression often dominated discussion, certain members of the Receipt Bank team clearly found it hard to remain completely focused throughout on just accounting and bookkeeping!

Asside from such delicious distractions, the Xero Roadshows proved yet again to be a roaring success and a big thankyou must go out to all those at Xero who organised such a successful series of events!

However, do not despair if you missed us at this years Xero Roadshows, we will of course be out in force again at Accountex from the 13th - 14th May and look forward to answering any questions or queries that you may have! Please find us at the QBO, Iris, Xero and Freeagent stands.
