An automation debate - Receipt Bank at the TaxAssist Annual Conference!

Spring has arrived and that means the TaxAssist Annual Conference is just around the corner. We’re excited to be attending as part of the TaxAssist support network and the team will be on hand throughout the day to discuss integrating Receipt Bank and the exciting new Practice Platform into your firm.

Receipt Bank’s Steven Lucas will also be hosting a lively discussion group around the hot topic of automation in the accounting industry. We asked Steven for a quick summary of his thoughts on the issue to whet our appetite for the upcoming debate:

“Anything that can be automated inevitably will be. Cloud technology is the next major platform shift, disrupting the status quo for many industries, including the accounting space, which is evolving faster than ever. The ‘Big Four’ accounting firms are embracing new cloud-based tools and have already begun to leverage the benefits. The implementation of bookkeeping automation tools has enabled them to become competitive in the small business tax compliance and bookkeeping service markets. However, these revolutionary efficiencies aren’t just for the exclusive use of the ‘Big Four’, but are accessible to all and that’s what we’ll be discussing on the 18th! It would be great to hear from as many TaxAssist franchisees as possible.”
